Hunting and camping areas abound. In the nearby hills, discover unequaled panoramic views and glorious sunsets.

It is a mixture of cliffs, canyons, lakes and sagebrush grasslands comprising 30,000 acres. A drive of 22 miles will take you through some of the most dramatic landscapes. Public entry is permitted between sunrise and sunset, all other hours the refuge is closed to public use. No off-roading is allowed, however licensed motorized vehicles and bicycles are permitted on graveled roads. Three hiking trails have been developed.
